Younger adults who are part of the millennial generation often thrive in certain metropolitan areas. If you're a millennial who wants to make a positive life change, moving to one of these places could open doors to new career, friendship and romantic opportunities.

Here are four cities that are popular among millennials who want a change of scenery:

Seattle
The largest city in the Pacific Northwest is home to the headquarters of some of the biggest companies in the world. You might have luck landing a corporate job with Amazon, Google or Starbucks. Spacious city parks and other open green spaces offer the perfect settings for millennials to go for jogs, dog walks and picnics.

The once-seedy Capitol Hill neighborhood is now a popular place for young people and features many trendy restaurants, coffee shops and nightclubs. Pioneer Square is another great hangout spot for millennials and features some of the city's best bars and clubs.

Atlanta
For years now, 20-somethings have been flocking to this city because of the excellent housing prices and electrifying nightlife. Some of the best neighborhoods for millennials include Brookwood Hills, Piedmont Heights and Buckhead Village. If you're a fan of hip-hop, you'll have no trouble finding plenty of places in the city where you can go for good times and to meet other like-minded people.

Toronto
Just across the border in Ontario lies the sprawling metropolis of Toronto. Many young adults from the U.S. choose to move here to experience living in a different country while still being close to the U.S. It's also possible to find new houses for sale in the Greater Toronto area that are affordable.

The Annex and Leslieville neighborhoods are especially ideal for millennials, or you can choose to live with other upper-class young people if you can afford the price on housing along the city’s waterfront. Toronto is also known for its cultural diversity and exciting attractions.

Austin
If you're looking for an alternative to Silicon Valley, this charmingly odd capital city of Texas may be a great fit. Austin has become a hotbed for startup companies and tech firms and is an ideal setting for aspiring entrepreneurs. The city's thriving music scene can provide you with plenty of entertainment options, and Austin is an especially good place to live if you're a fan of country or blues music.

Many millennials who settle here are also impressed with the city's unique culinary scene. Downtown Austin features many great housing options, or you could try finding a place in the Bouldin Creek or South Lamar neighborhood.

Nonetheless, it is the lowest level at the end of April since tracking began in 2004. In April, 49% fewer homes came on the market compared to the 3-year average before COVID (2017 to 2019), 1,983 less. Last ye ar, there were 2,104 homes on the market, 28 more homes, or 1% higher. The 3-year average before COVID (2017 to 2019) was 6,002, or 189% more. ·        Demand, the number of pending sales over the prior month, increased by 43 pending sales in the past two weeks, up 3%, and now totals 1,706, the lowest end-of-April reading since 2020 during the COVID lockdown.
